QA/QC Specialist (Part-Time, Independent Contractor)

About the role

We are seeking a part‑time QA/QC Specialist to conduct hands‑on inspections of furniture products across factories and warehouses in China. The role is contract‑based, reporting directly to our US team, and involves ensuring that all items meet our quality standards before shipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform in‑line and pre‑shipment inspections at furniture factories throughout China.
• Verify dimensions, materials, finishes, hardware, and packaging against approved specifications.
• Document defects with clear photographs and written reports.
• Escalate critical issues immediately to the team before goods are shipped.
• Prepare organized inspection checklists and reports for internal use.
• Coordinate inspection schedules directly with factory contacts.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of QA/QC inspection experience, preferably in furniture or home‑goods.
• Strong knowledge of upholstery, casegoods, and wood‑furniture construction.
• Fluent written and spoken English for clear communication with a US‑based team.
• Highly reliable, detail‑oriented, and able to work independently without constant supervision.
• Willingness to travel frequently to factories across different regions of China.
