Quality Manager – Apparel & Gloves

About the role

Alpinestars is seeking a Quality Manager to lead supplier quality performance and product integrity for its apparel and glove categories. You will manage a small team and collaborate closely with Product Development, Sourcing, Production Planning and Corporate Quality to ensure all items meet the brand’s technical and performance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement quality strategies aligned with corporate standards, setting objectives and performance indicators across development and production.
• Partner with R&D to support new product development, validate materials, assess risks and implement mitigation plans.
• Monitor material quality, conduct testing, validation and supplier audits to ensure compliance with durability, safety and performance requirements.
• Oversee supplier quality performance, drive continuous improvement, and lead corrective action plans.
• Conduct regular factory visits in Asia to evaluate production processes, quality systems and adherence to Alpinestars’ specifications.
• Maintain production quality checkpoints from raw materials through final inspection, identify deviations and coordinate timely resolutions.
• Provide clear updates on quality status, risks and improvement actions to Corporate Quality, R&D and Sourcing teams.
• Lead, mentor and develop the quality team and third‑party partners to ensure high performance and proactive problem‑solving.

Required profile

• 5–8+ years of experience in quality management, preferably within apparel, gloves or related technical products.
• Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and drive quality improvements across Asian manufacturing sites.
• Strong analytical skills for risk assessment, root‑cause analysis and implementation of mitigation strategies.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with cross‑functional teams and provide structured updates.
• Willingness to travel regularly to supplier facilities.
