Quant Developer (Python)

About the role

The Quant Developer will work within Squarepoint’s Quantitative Development team, partnering closely with quantitative researchers to design, implement and deploy software that supports research and trading activities across multiple asset classes. This role focuses on building efficient, scalable workflows and ensuring that software components are reusable and globally consistent.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with quantitative researchers to design and build efficient, scalable research and trading workflows.
• Work with technology peers to maintain global consistency and maximize reuse of software components.
• Take ownership of projects throughout the full engineering lifecycle, from requirements analysis to deployment.
• Drive cross‑team initiatives that align with Squarepoint’s strategic objectives.

Required profile

• Degree in applied mathematics, physics, engineering, quantitative finance or computer science.
• At least four years of professional experience developing in Python.
• Proven experience with modern software development practices such as version control and agile methodologies.
• Strong technical communication skills.
