About the role
Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong is a state‑of‑the‑art private tertiary hospital seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Wound Care Team. The role involves performing wound assessments, developing personalized care plans and delivering evidence‑based treatments to patients with complex wounds.
Key responsibilities
- Perform wound assessments and create individualized care plans.
- Implement evidence‑based treatments for pressure injuries, diabetic foot ulcers, surgical wounds, and venous/arterial ulcers.
- Manage complex wound cases and provide clinical guidance to nursing staff.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise wound care plans.
- Monitor wound healing progress and adjust treatments as required.
- Educate patients and caregivers on wound prevention, dressing techniques and self‑care.
- Maintain accurate records of assessments, treatments and outcomes.
- Follow infection control protocols and participate in audits and quality‑improvement initiatives.
Required profile
- Degree in Nursing (preferably) and a valid Hong Kong nursing practising certificate.
- Certificate in Stoma and Wound Care Nursing.
- Minimum 3 years of clinical experience with a focus on wound care.
- Advanced knowledge of wound‑care products, technologies and evidence‑based practices.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities, with the capacity to mentor junior staff.
- Fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese.
- Current BLS certification (bi‑annual) and ACLS certification for critical‑care areas.
Required skills
- Wound care product and technology expertise.
- Stoma and wound care nursing certification.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
- Familiarity with hospital policies, infection‑control standards and nursing guidelines.
