Security Officer – Shatin Racecourse

About the role

The Hong Kong Jockey Club is seeking a Security Officer to maintain a safe and secure environment at the Shatin Racecourse. You will be responsible for access control, crowd management and monitoring security systems during race meetings and other events.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out access control, crowd control and regular patrolling of the Club’s premises.
• Monitor security systems in the Control Room, including CCTV and alarm systems.
• Participate in sampling operations for horses and humans.
• Respond to alarms and incidents, providing accurate incident information.
• Provide firefighting support and first‑aid assistance when required.
• Perform security duties during race meetings and special events as needed.

Required profile

• Tertiary education preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year relevant security experience.
• Basic knowledge of operating security systems.
• Basic report‑writing skills.
• Willingness to work day and night shifts, including Sundays and holidays.
• Valid Security Personnel Permit (Category Code B).
• Valid Hong Kong driving licence (categories 1 & 2) preferred.
• First‑Aid certification preferred.
