Senior Backend Engineer – Gaming

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our gaming team and help power the popular title Tower of Saviors. You will work on high‑traffic services, ensuring they are fast, reliable and scalable for millions of players worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and web applications that support the game.
• Optimize API performance, database efficiency, and overall system reliability.
• Collaborate with game designers, frontend developers and QA throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Write unit and integration tests using PHPUnit, Jest or Mocha to guarantee software quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• 2‑3+ years of experience in backend or full‑stack web development.
• Passion for gaming and delivering high‑quality player experiences.

Required skills

• Proficiency in React.
• Strong knowledge of PHP, Laravel, TypeScript and Node.js.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and relational databases.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP or Azure.
• Use of AI‑assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot, Codex or Cursor.
