Senior Construction Manager – Foundations (3‑Year Contract)

About the role

The Senior Manager (Construction) – Foundation will lead multiple on‑site construction projects, focusing on early‑stage foundation and substructure works. Reporting to the Assistant Director (Project Management), the role ensures projects are delivered on time, safely, and in full compliance with Hong Kong Housing Society standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee construction projects on site, coordinating consultants, contractors, and internal site teams.
• Implement HKHS site‑team policies and the Integrated Quality System across foundation, structural, and building‑services works.
• Monitor progress, identify delays or technical issues, and resolve sequencing conflicts, especially during excavation, piling and ground works.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, safety, and environmental regulations, with heightened focus on high‑risk activities.
• Lead handover processes, address complaints, and supervise defect rectification.

Required profile

• Degree in Building, Engineering, Architecture or related discipline; professional qualifications such as MCIOB, MHKICM, MHKIE preferred.
• Minimum 15 years construction management experience, including at least 5 years in a senior managerial role on large‑scale residential developments.
• Proven expertise in foundation and substructure works (excavation, piling, ground works) and full construction cycle delivery.
• Thorough knowledge of the Buildings Ordinance, related legislation, and applicable codes of practice.
