Senior Data Centre Operations Officer

About the role

The Senior Data Centre Operations Officer will ensure the smooth, reliable operation of the bank's data centre environment. This role involves monitoring batch processes, managing system administration tasks, and providing 24/7 support to internal and external users.

Key responsibilities

• Execute and monitor batch jobs (day‑end, ad‑hoc) across production, disaster‑recovery and testing environments.
• Perform system administration duties such as DR drills, shutdown/start‑up, health checks, program promotions and testing.
• Provide 7 × 24 on‑shift support and phone assistance to users.
• Run backup jobs following defined procedures and log any errors.
• Notify relevant parties of batch job issues and maintain incident logs in IT Services.
• Assist operators with report, statement and Pin Mailer generation and printing.
• Handle housekeeping, facilities operations and security tasks, including CCTV camera operation and record keeping.
• Support the Computer Supervisor to maintain uninterrupted data‑centre operations.

Required profile

• Certificate in a computer‑related discipline (preferred).
• At least 1 year of relevant experience, preferably with 24/7 computer operations.
• Experience in data‑centre environments, structured cabling systems and electrical work.
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Chinese word processing.
