Senior Engineer – Railway Communications & Control Systems

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Engineer with solid project experience in railway communications (COMS) and/or main control systems (MCS). The role involves developing on‑site test plans, supervising testing activities and ensuring safe execution of work. You will lead staff and contractors to deliver certified hand‑over documentation to the client.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and create on‑site test plans, procedures and test cases for communications and control systems.
• Organise work to maximise resource utilisation and ensure safe execution.
• Supervise staff and contractors, managing personal safety and administration.
• Conduct testing of Communications System and/or Main Control System, including night‑shift operations when required.
• Produce testing plans, certification documentation and verify testing activities for client hand‑over.
• Provide timely briefings and instructions to allocated personnel.

Required profile

• Higher Diploma or University degree in an engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience with Communications and Main Control Systems (e.g., Data Networks, CCTV, PAS, PIDS, PABX, PLC, SCADA).
• Significant railway testing experience and proven staff supervision.
• Full knowledge of current testing practices, standards, health and safety legislation.
