Senior IT Business Analyst, GA Delivery

About the role

Manulife is looking for a Senior IT Business Analyst to support its General Account (GA) operations across Asia, turning business strategy into technology solutions. Working with the Head of GA Investments Asia COO Team and Operations and Technology groups, the role leads and implements solutions that support the expansion of the GA Asia business and its move from end-user tools to modern technology platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with GA stakeholders (Investments, Asset Liability Management, Treasury, Finance, Risk) to analyse and document business requirements, user stories and process flows for Asia markets.
• Manage the backlog and stakeholder communication, and lead end-to-end delivery of GA-related technology, collaborating with global teams on centrally managed systems.
• Map and optimise business processes, recommending automation, data quality controls and operational efficiencies.
• Support integrations with investment platforms (e.g. OMS, PMS), accounting systems, risk engines and finance/reporting tools, managing cross-system dependencies.
• Monitor post-implementation outcomes, KPIs and adoption, and lead continuous improvement and change management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Finance, Engineering or a related field; Master's a plus.
• More than 5 years as an IT Business Analyst or Product Owner in financial services; insurance General Account or institutional asset management experience strongly preferred.
• Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving, prioritisation and decision-making skills.
• Strong domain knowledge of fixed income, mortgages/loans, private assets, alternatives, derivatives, FX and liquidity management.
• Experience in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and hybrid delivery environments; excellent communication, workshop facilitation and stakeholder management.

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with investment/finance systems such as OMS/PMS, ETP (BTBS, TradeWeb, FXConnect), investment accounting (SimCorp, Aladdin), risk/analytics (MSCI/Barra, Bloomberg PORT), data platforms (Databricks/SQL) and reporting tools (Power BI).
• Data governance, data quality controls, master/metadata management and reference data.
• Jira/Confluence and DevOps practices.
