Senior Manager, Strategic Finance & Business Analytics

About the role

Prudential is looking for a Senior Manager to lead end-to-end strategic finance assessments for business initiatives, planning and forecasting. The role acts as the finance lead and strategic thought partner to Channels, Expense Control and cross-functional teams, developing an independent financial and commercial point of view.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic finance assessments for business initiatives, planning and forecasting, including defining the evaluation framework, analytical approach, challenging assumptions, assessing options and trade-offs, and recommending to senior management.
• Act as finance lead and strategic thought partner to Channels, Expense Control and cross-functional teams on selected initiatives.
• Develop an independent financial and commercial point of view, challenge business proposals and give data-driven recommendations.
• Lead the financial assessment and independent validation of key new business assumptions behind APE/NBP forecasts for local management and Group reporting.
• Identify emerging risks and opportunities, challenge channel forecasts where appropriate, and recommend management actions or alternative scenarios through analytical models.
• Own the development and continuous improvement of forecasting and planning tools, models and analytical frameworks, improving efficiency, scalability, automation and decision usefulness.

Required profile

• University graduate, preferably with an actuarial background or qualifications.
• 8-10 years of relevant experience.
• Strong functional expertise and strong commercial judgement.
• Ability to operate with limited supervision, manage ambiguity and exercise sound judgement.
• Leadership ability and executive communication skills, able to translate complex analysis into concise recommendations.
• Proven ability to engage and align cross-functional stakeholders while owning the assessment and recommendations.
