Senior Medical Affairs Manager

About the role

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Senior Medical Affairs Manager to lead medical strategy for assigned therapeutic areas in Hong Kong. The role combines scientific leadership with business insight to improve patient outcomes and support product lifecycles.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute integrated medical strategies and annual plans based on scientific insights, patient needs, and business priorities.
• Oversee evidence‑generation initiatives, including study concept design, protocol development, execution, publication planning and dissemination.
• Provide senior medical leadership for product launches, lifecycle management and cross‑functional strategic discussions, ensuring scientific credibility and regulatory compliance.
• Lead high‑quality scientific engagement activities such as advisory boards, expert meetings, congress participation and medical education programmes.
• Monitor emerging scientific evidence, clinical guidelines, competitive intelligence and healthcare trends to generate actionable insights.
• Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, medical societies, healthcare institutions and internal stakeholders across local, regional and global teams.
• Conduct expert medical review and governance of promotional, educational and scientific materials.
• Coach and mentor medical colleagues and cross‑functional partners to foster capability building and scientific excellence.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in medical affairs or related scientific functions.
• Strong understanding of therapeutic area science, clinical practice gaps and regulatory environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to translate scientific data into strategic business decisions.
• Track record of driving evidence generation and scientific engagement.
