Senior Railway System Engineer

About the role

SYSTRA’s Asia System Engineering Centre is looking for a highly skilled Senior Railway System Engineer to support its growing portfolio of railway projects in Hong Kong and across Asia. The role combines technical expertise, work‑package management and occasional project leadership to deliver safe, sustainable transport solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design, tendering and execution work‑packages for railway system projects, ensuring compliance with client requirements and profitability targets.
• Conduct feasibility, concept and tender studies, prepare technical specifications, and produce detailed design reports.
• Provide technical assistance during procurement, including bid analysis, interface management and quality assurance during fabrication.
• Support testing, commissioning and certification activities, both factory‑based and on‑site.
• Monitor safety aspects and maintain direct communication with clients, suppliers and internal teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in railway system projects, preferably with an OEM or system integrator.
• Fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese, with strong technical report writing skills.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage multidisciplinary teams and travel within Asia for short‑term assignments.
