Senior Staff Cryptography Engineer

About the role

OKX is looking for a Senior Staff Cryptography Engineer to lead the design and implementation of post‑quantum and multi‑party computation (MPC) cryptographic solutions for its wallet and Web3 security products. You will work at the forefront of blockchain security, shaping cryptographic standards and protecting millions of users.

Key responsibilities

• Design, evaluate migration paths, and integrate post‑quantum cryptography (PQC) algorithms into existing signature and key‑management systems.
• Develop and maintain the core cryptography library for MPC‑based wallets and other Web3 security products.
• Research emerging Web3 cryptography technologies, produce selection reports, and document technical decisions.
• Conduct security audits of wallet‑layer signature code and cryptographic protocol implementations.
• Define and enforce cryptography technical standards and security red lines for the team.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or higher in Cryptography, Mathematics, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
• Strong theoretical foundation in public‑key and symmetric cryptography, lattice theory, security protocol design, and blockchain cryptography.
• Research experience in post‑quantum cryptography, especially lattice‑based schemes and NIST PQC algorithms (e.g., Kyber, Dilithium, SPHINCS+).
• Experience with secure multi‑party computation, threshold signatures, and secret‑sharing protocols.
• Familiarity with zero‑knowledge proofs, homomorphic encryption, or related advanced cryptographic concepts is a plus.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as C/C++, Rust, Go, or Java.
