Sourcing Director, Dress & Skirt

About the role

We are seeking a Sourcing Director – Dress & Skirt to lead the sourcing strategy for our women’s dresses and skirts category. This role will own supplier development, cost, quality, capacity, and speed‑to‑market while building strong partnerships with global manufacturing partners.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement end‑to‑end supply chain and sourcing strategy for dresses and skirts across woven, knit and sweater knit fabrics, using a multi‑sourcing approach for resilience.
• Onboard new manufacturing partners to Quince’s direct‑to‑consumer model and coach them on rapid replenishment and M2C operations.
• Educate partners on the Quince Operating System, covering operational excellence, financial modeling for high ROIC, and technical integration via the Vendor Portal.
• Drive continuous improvement to meet KPIs: defect rate < 0.5%, replenishment lead time < 14 days, in‑stock rate > 99%.
• Lead catalog expansion with Merchandising and Product Development, launching new styles through the New Product Creation process.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews with each partner to align strategy, assess performance, and set future objectives.

Required profile

• 15+ years of strategic sourcing, procurement or supplier management experience at a director level, preferably with major US‑based retailers.
• Extensive network of factories producing dresses and skirts globally, including APAC, IST and EMEA regions.
• Deep understanding of apparel cost structures, ability to drive cost savings through clean‑sheet analysis and negotiation tactics.
• Strong analytical, detail‑oriented mindset with a focus on execution, problem‑solving and process improvement.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Vendor Portal systems.
• Experience applying lean and just‑in‑time (JIT) manufacturing principles.
• Knowledge of AI‑enabled analytics for supply‑chain optimization.
