Sourcing Merchandiser

About the role

The Sourcing Merchandiser will coordinate bulk production and supply‑chain activities for Levi Strauss & Co in Hong Kong. You will ensure that large‑scale orders are placed on schedule, monitor on‑ground operations, and work closely with internal and external teams to meet quality and delivery targets.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure bulk placement aligns with lead times and capacity constraints.
• Identify and resolve supply‑chain issues before they impact delivery.
• Manage execution of 200‑400 PC9s and up to 5 million units annually by liaising with mills, suppliers, and support departments.
• Monitor production status on‑site, report bottlenecks, and proactively address risks.
• Collaborate with Raw Material, FE, GT, PI, and QA teams on bulk and pre‑production matters.
• Analyze capacities, use the Board Walk projection system for supplier confirmations, and upload data.
• Minimize MOQ up‑charges through planning and negotiation, and create alternate solutions to reduce lead times.
• Oversee fabric and sweater‑yarn sourcing, sampling requests, and pre‑production approvals.
• Implement Levi’s SOPs with suppliers and ensure accurate data representation in SAP and Solar.

Required profile

• Experience managing large‑scale bulk production and supply‑chain coordination.
• Strong ability to monitor operations, identify bottlenecks, and drive resolutions.
• Proficiency in collaborating with cross‑functional teams (Raw Material, QA, Production Development, etc.).
• Capability to analyze capacity data and negotiate to reduce MOQ and lead times.
