Spatial Designer

About the role

onebite DESIGN is looking for a Spatial Designer who will merge physical spaces with digital interaction to create immersive multimedia exhibitions. You will work closely with curators, researchers and community partners to turn complex ideas into clear, engaging spatial narratives.

Key responsibilities

• Conceptualise, develop and execute exhibition layouts for both physical venues and virtual platforms.
• Collaborate with curators, researchers and community stakeholders to translate content into visual and spatial stories.
• Design interactive installations, multimedia touchpoints and experiential elements that boost visitor engagement.
• Coordinate with architecture, graphic design and community‑engagement teams to ensure a cohesive look and message.
• Support project delivery from concept through technical drawing, material sourcing, vendor coordination and on‑site set‑up.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in exhibition or spatial design, with a portfolio that includes both physical and digital projects.
• Strong curiosity for narrative, content curation and research‑driven design.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Cantonese.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Rhino and AutoCAD for 3D modelling.
• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite – Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
• Familiarity with UI/UX principles, digital prototyping and multimedia integration tools.
