Support Engineer

About the role

The Support Engineer will administer, maintain and implement IT projects while ensuring high availability of the network environment. Working closely with local and regional infrastructure teams, the role supports the bank’s technology landscape and contributes to continuous service improvement.

Key responsibilities

• IT Infrastructure Operational Management – establish and maintain standards, processes and procedures for network, storage, telecommunications and desktop components.
• Maturity Initiatives – identify, document and resolve incidents promptly, following ITIL release and service delivery standards.
• Incident Coordination – manage communication of service disruptions to end‑users and handle escalations.
• Server/Hub/AV Rooms Management – oversee environmental duties and overall management of server and AV rooms.
• Project Management – support infrastructure projects, coordinate cross‑team communication and assist in various project phases.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of combined IT and daily operations experience on network environments.
• Broad exposure to systems management and administration functions.
• Familiarity with technology used in financial organisations, including infrastructure and internet products.
• Ability to process extensive documentation and simplify it.
• Working knowledge of server rooms and production control processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team, with strong initiative and attention to detail.

• Microsoft certifications (or equivalent knowledge).
• Linux certifications (or equivalent knowledge).
• Cisco certifications (or equivalent knowledge).
• ITIL knowledge and application.
