Support Engineer – Rolling Stock

About the role

The Support Engineer will assist in design tasks and provide technical support for passenger train mechanical systems, helping to ensure a safe, reliable and efficient rolling stock operation. The role involves coordination with internal and external stakeholders and frequent travel to the Chinese Mainland and other countries.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in design tasks and technical support for passenger train mechanical systems.
• Develop technical and working drawings, conduct studies and propose solutions for system safety and efficiency.
• Coordinate technical interfaces between existing systems and work with internal and external stakeholders.
• Investigate rolling stock operational and maintenance issues.
• Review technical specifications, assess design submissions, attend factory tests and site inspections, and support testing and commissioning activities.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years’ relevant design experience.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
