Systems Administrator – Hong Kong

About the role

This role provides hands‑on, office‑based support for a global quantitative investment business in Hong Kong. You will combine direct user assistance with infrastructure administration, troubleshooting and project work while collaborating with global colleagues and vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Provide in‑person support for PC hardware, peripherals, software deployments, mobile‑device management, videoconferencing, AV equipment and trading‑floor technology, with occasional data‑centre tasks.
• Collaborate with global teams and vendors to diagnose and resolve both technical and non‑technical issues across Windows and UNIX environments.
• Support Windows PCs and servers, UNIX servers, mobile devices and communications infrastructure, ensuring reliability and performance.
• Investigate complex problems, administer infrastructure‑level systems and contribute to automation and efficiency improvements.

Required profile

• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows enterprise environments and Microsoft 365.
• Practical systems‑administration experience across hardware, software, desk‑side, trading‑floor, AV, conferencing and remote‑user support.
• Strong research and analytical abilities with a curiosity to solve unfamiliar problems and improve processes.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills; availability on‑site Monday‑Friday with occasional overtime and travel to Singapore or Shanghai.
