Teacher of Information Technology – ESF Secondary Schools (Expressions of Interest)

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic teachers to join the English Schools Foundation (ESF) secondary schools as Information Technology educators for the 2026/2027 academic year. Candidates will inspire students to understand and apply IT concepts across a range of levels, from introductory topics for younger learners to advanced programming for senior classes.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver a comprehensive IT curriculum aligned with ESF standards.
• Utilise interactive technological pedagogical tools to support 21st‑century learning.
• Promote higher‑order thinking through progressive instructional strategies.
• Introduce basic IT concepts to lower‑level students and more complex programming skills to upper‑level learners.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and integrate relevant knowledge into lessons.
• Assess student progress, prepare lesson plans, projects and evaluations.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about student development.
• Teach safe and proper use of IT equipment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a subject‑related degree with a PGCE/PGDE.
• Understanding of the MYP framework is advantageous.
• Newly qualified teachers or those with teaching experience in a recognised institution.
• Eligibility for Teacher Registration with the Hong Kong Education Bureau.
