Technician – Building Facilities – Station Retail Technical Team

About the role

This position supports the Station Retail Technical Team by ensuring that all building facilities within station shops are safe, functional, and compliant with relevant regulations. You will work on a rotating shift schedule, including weekends and public holidays, to maintain uninterrupted service.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out inspections, minor works, interface works and fault handling for station shop facilities.
• Act as the Competent Person, supervising contractors to guarantee compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) and Railway Safety Rules (RSR).
• Liaise with contractors and internal stakeholders, providing expert advice on station and commercial facility matters.

Required profile

• Higher Diploma or Higher Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent) with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Diploma or Certificate in the same fields with a minimum of 5 years’ experience, or 2 years post‑apprenticeship experience.
• Candidates with extensive practical experience but lower formal qualifications will also be considered.
• Willingness to work shift duties, weekends and public holidays as required.
