About the role

Kowloon Junior School seeks an enthusiastic and experienced classroom teacher to join the Year 5 team for a six‑month, full‑time contract (January 2027 – June 2027). The role focuses on delivering high‑quality, inquiry‑based lessons that meet each student’s individual learning needs and support the school’s vision of “Success for Every Child”.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver lessons that align with the IBO philosophy and cater to diverse abilities.
• Use a variety of teaching strategies, flexible groupings, and technology to enhance learning.
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and report outcomes to parents and caregivers.
• Maintain an organized, stimulating classroom environment and manage classroom procedures efficiently.
• Participate in professional learning activities and contribute to school policies and aspirations.
• Collaborate with colleagues and support wider school initiatives, such as extracurricular programs or student welfare.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher status.
• Proven classroom practice with an exemplary record.
• Experience in an inquiry‑based teaching setting.
• Strong knowledge of effective assessment practices.
