About the role

The University of Hong Kong Faculty of Medicine invites distinguished clinicians and researchers to join as Tenure‑Track Clinical Professors, Clinical Associate Professors, or Clinical Assistant Professors across a range of specialties. Appointments are on a four‑year fixed‑term basis with renewal possibilities and potential progression to tenure.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality teaching and curriculum development for undergraduate and postgraduate medical programmes.
• Lead and contribute to impactful clinical, basic, or translational research projects, securing competitive grants.
• Provide clinical services at HKU‑affiliated hospitals and clinics, ensuring excellence in patient care.
• Mentor early‑career researchers, supervise theses, and support professional development of trainees.
• Participate in departmental and university governance, fostering academic collaborations locally and internationally.

Required profile

• Medical qualification registrable with the Medical Council of Hong Kong and specialist registration (or eligibility for certification).
• For senior appointments, a higher academic degree such as MD, MS, or PhD is preferred.
• Demonstrated record of high‑impact publications, competitive research funding, and international scholarly recognition.
• Strong commitment to teaching excellence, curriculum innovation, and mentorship.
• Leadership experience in academic or healthcare settings is advantageous.
