Tenure-Track Faculty Positions in Business Analytics & Data Science

About the role

The University of Hong Kong invites applications for several tenure‑track faculty positions at the Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor levels in Business Analytics/Statistics, Operations Management, and Information Systems. Appointments start on 1 July 2027 (or as soon as possible) on a three‑year fixed‑term contract with renewal and potential tenure consideration.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct high‑quality scholarly research in the declared primary area (Information Systems, Operations Management, Statistics, or related fields).
• Teach undergraduate, Master’s and MBA courses covering business analytics, machine learning, FinTech, artificial intelligence and related topics.
• Supervise graduate research projects and contribute to curriculum development.
• Engage with the Faculty of Business and Economics community and external industry partners.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Information Systems, Operations Management, Statistics, Computer Science or a closely related data‑analytics discipline.
• Strong publication record in reputable journals and conferences.
• Demonstrated ability to teach business‑analytics related courses; experience with Master’s or MBA programmes is desirable for Associate Professor candidates.
• Willingness to declare one main research area from the four categories during application.
