Tenure‑Track Faculty Positions in Biomedical Engineering

About the role

The School of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Hong Kong invites applications for multiple tenure‑track faculty positions (Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor). Appointments start as soon as possible on an initial three‑year fixed‑term contract, with renewal and potential tenure after a second term based on performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and lead independent, interdisciplinary research programmes at the interface of biomedicine and engineering.
• Secure external research funding from governmental, industrial or international sources.
• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses using inquiry‑based learning methods.
• Mentor and supervise graduate students and junior researchers.
• Contribute to the School’s strategic initiatives, service activities and professional community.

Required profile

• Ph.D. or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
• Strong publication record in reputable journals and evidence of external grant success.
• International or national recognition appropriate to the rank applied for.
• Demonstrated ability to work across disciplines and foster collaborative research.
• Commitment to high‑quality teaching and student mentorship.
