Test & Commissioning Engineer – Signalling Systems

About the role

Alstom Hong Kong is seeking a Test & Commissioning Engineer to join its signalling team supporting MTR projects. You will work on railway signalling systems, ensuring they are tested, validated and commissioned to the highest safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and execute testing activities for railway signalling projects under the direction of the Sub‑system T&C Leader.
• Identify, troubleshoot and correct defects, documenting non‑conformities and providing return‑experience feedback.
• Maintain and calibrate test tools, ensuring they are ready for use.
• Support the Verification & Validation team and perform laboratory tests as required.
• Produce commissioning reports and follow up on detected issues.
• Deliver performance in line with quality, cost and deadline targets while complying with Alstom policies, local standards and railway safety regulations.
• Act as CP(T) for the self‑working team, conducting safety briefings during night work when needed.

Required profile

• Honours degree in engineering, preferably electrical, electronics or embedded systems.
• At least 4 years of experience in construction, engineering or transport infrastructure and commissioning (less experience may be considered for an Assistant Engineer role).
• Experience with ATC (Automatic Train Control) sub‑systems is preferred.
• Willingness to work night shifts, weekends and public holidays (night‑shift allowance provided).
• Team‑oriented mindset with a strong willingness to learn.
