Wound Nurse

About the role

Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong is seeking a qualified Wound Nurse to join its multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will provide specialised wound management for in‑patients, ensuring optimal healing and patient education in a state‑of‑the‑art private tertiary hospital.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive wound assessments and develop personalised care plans.
• Deliver evidence‑based treatments for pressure injuries, diabetic foot ulcers, surgical wounds and venous/arterial ulcers.
• Manage complex wound cases and provide clinical guidance to nursing staff.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists and other specialists to create integrated wound‑care strategies.
• Monitor wound healing progress, adjust treatments and document outcomes accurately.
• Educate patients and caregivers on wound prevention, dressing techniques and self‑care.
• Adhere to infection‑control protocols and hospital safety standards.
• Participate in audits, quality‑improvement projects and staff training related to wound care.

Required profile

• Degree in Nursing (preferred) and a current nursing practising certificate in Hong Kong.
• Relevant certification in Stoma and Wound Care Nursing.
• Minimum three years of clinical experience with a focus on wound care.
• Advanced knowledge of wound‑care products, technologies and evidence‑based practices.
• Familiarity with hospital policies, infection‑control procedures and nursing standards.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities, with a capacity to mentor junior staff.
• Fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese.
• BLS certification (bi‑yearly) and ACLS certification for critical‑care areas.
