Accountant

About the role

FGS Global is looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to join its Asia finance team in Hong Kong. The role supports day‑to‑day accounting operations, audit assistance, tax compliance and financial reporting for entities in Hong Kong, Singapore and China.

Key responsibilities

• Perform bookkeeping, voucher/invoice entry, account reconciliations and monthly closing.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial and management reports.
• Support statutory audits by maintaining accurate records and providing documentation to auditors.
• Handle tax filing obligations, including GST/VAT compliance and corporate income tax for Hong Kong, Singapore and China.
• Manage accounts payable, billing, invoice processing and vendor/client set‑up.
• Review employee expense reports and corporate expenditures in line with policy.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase finance function efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field with minimum GPA 3.0.
• At least 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a professional services or multinational environment.
• Experience supporting statutory audits and tax filings; familiarity with Singapore GST and China VAT is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines independently.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Cantonese; Mandarin proficiency is advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems such as NetSuite.
• Knowledge of VAT/GST filing procedures.
• Bookkeeping and account reconciliation skills.
• Financial reporting and audit support capabilities.
