Actuarial Director

About the role

Manulife is looking for an Actuarial Director to lead the business plan and forecast process. The role focuses on delivering Business Plan results, preparing forecasts and working with product pricing, distribution, strategy and regional teams. The position is offered in a hybrid arrangement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver Business Plan results, including consolidation and presentation and timely submission.
• Summarise key information and messages from the Business Plan to facilitate strategy discussions.
• Drive the monthly forecast on net book value (NBV), core earnings and expense gap, and prepare presentation materials for senior stakeholders.
• Work closely with the Product Pricing Team, Distribution, Strategy, Controllers and regional teams on the business plan and forecast process.
• Oversee working and control validation to ensure the integrity of the business plan and forecast workflow.
• Manage enquiries from stakeholders, including internal and regional teams.

Required profile

• Fellow of a professional actuarial organisation.
• Minimum 10 years' relevant experience in the insurance industry.
• Solid actuarial knowledge and experience.
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills, able to work as an individual contributor and a team player.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Able to deliver results under pressure and within tight deadlines.
• Fluent English, spoken and written.
