Aerospace Business Development Manager (China)

About the role

The Aerospace Business Development Manager (China) will be based in Hong Kong and will drive the growth of Hempel Special Metals’ aerospace business across Greater China. You will work closely with sales, logistics and technical teams to match customers’ material needs with the company’s high-performance alloy portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities with aerospace OEMs, tier‑1 suppliers and MRO organisations.
• Strengthen and expand relationships with existing aerospace customers.
• Research market trends, regulatory requirements and competitor activity in the region.
• Promote the company’s material range and processing capabilities, preparing technical and commercial proposals.
• Negotiate contracts in line with company guidelines and ensure competitive pricing and timely delivery.
• Report regularly on market developments, sales pipeline and account performance.
• Represent the company at industry events and conduct customer visits.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development, sales or account management within aerospace or advanced manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of aerospace metals such as nickel alloys, stainless steels and titanium and their typical forms and processing options.
• Ability to conduct market research, analyse customer needs and develop strategic plans for Greater China.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; Mandarin or Cantonese proficiency is a plus.
• Comfortable working in an international, cross‑functional environment.
• Relevant academic background in engineering, materials science, business or equivalent professional experience.

Required skills

• Knowledge of nickel alloys, stainless steels and titanium for aerospace applications.
