About the role
The Assistant Manager – People Development & Knowledge Management will lead the design, delivery and evaluation of learning initiatives that build soft‑skill, functional and e‑learning capabilities across the organisation. Working closely with headquarters and global HR teams, the role ensures that training solutions are aligned with corporate standards and support the development of future leaders.
Key responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end people development initiatives, including design, implementation and evaluation of soft‑skill, functional and e‑learning programmes.
- Plan and deliver “just‑in‑time” customised learning solutions (e‑learning and face‑to‑face) to meet organisational and functional training needs.
- Manage and optimise the global e‑learning platform to improve engagement, accessibility and learning effectiveness.
- Review people development frameworks and guiding principles to ensure consistent global application and alignment with group standards.
- Oversee the internal trainer pool and support delivery of global leadership and talent programmes to build a sustainable leadership pipeline.
- Manage training budgets, resource allocation and ensure cost‑effective execution of development initiatives.
- Prepare management reports and analysis.
- Handle new projects and ad‑hoc duties as assigned.
Required profile
- Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related disciplines.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in learning and development at headquarters or regional level, preferably in multinational corporations.
- Proven experience designing, delivering and administering learning programmes and people development initiatives.
- Strong achievement drive with problem‑solving, analytical skills and attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment.
- Self‑motivated, independent and collaborative with strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese; fluent in Putonghua.
- Experience developing internal trainers is an advantage.
