Assistant Manager, Transfer Pricing, Tax

About the role

KPMG China is seeking an Assistant Manager to join its Global Transfer Pricing Services practice. You will support multinational clients in developing and defending transfer pricing strategies, ensuring compliance with regional tax regulations, and contributing to the firm’s advisory projects.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in delivering transfer pricing projects for clients across Asia Pacific and other markets.
• Prepare and analyse financial and economic data for tax and regulatory compliance using MS Word, Excel and statistical packages.
• Conduct database searches, economic, financial and accounting analyses to support transfer pricing documentation.
• Draft regional and local transfer pricing reports and documentation.
• Provide timely support to managers and supervise junior team members.
• Identify new work opportunities through internal and external networks.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
• Demonstrate teamwork, knowledge sharing, and staff coaching.

Required profile

• University degree in economics, finance, accounting, law, engineering or an MBA.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a professional services firm.
• Analytical and strategic mindset with strong numerical abilities.
• Understanding of transfer pricing principles and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese).
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
