Auditor – FM Approvals (APAC)

About the role

The Asia Pacific Division is seeking an Auditor for FM Approvals, based in the Hong Kong office and reporting to the Approvals Group Manager, Quality Assurance. The role involves performing facilities and procedures audits across FM Approvals’ customer base.

Key responsibilities

• Effectively perform facilities and procedures audits across the FM Approvals customer base.
• Document audit evidence and conclusions clearly to enable reviewers to follow the methodology.
• Report audit findings against defined criteria in compliance with professional and FM Approvals standards.
• Communicate audit results verbally and in writing, ensuring they are persuasive and well understood.
• Travel regularly throughout APAC to conduct first‑time, surveillance, and witness testing audits, including ATEX/CPR activities where authorized.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing process experience and 5 years of quality assurance/audit experience.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 17020, ISO 17025 and/or ISO 17065 standards.
• Lead Auditor certification (ASQ, RABQSA, Exemplar Global) preferred.
• Experience with product certification in building materials, fire protection, electrical systems or hazardous locations is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and strong written and verbal English communication.
