Back Office Java System Analyst – Contract

About the role

We are looking for a Back Office Java System Analyst to join our Hong Kong team and modernise post‑trade settlement systems. You will help build resilient, high‑performance solutions that support capital markets operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and enhance mission‑critical post‑trade settlement applications using Java, Spring Boot and related technologies.
• Deliver end‑to‑end software development, from design and implementation through testing, deployment and production support.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, QA teams and IT partners to ensure efficient and reliable settlement operations.
• Drive automation and system enhancements to improve operational efficiency, platform stability and resilience.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, deployment guides and operational procedures.
• Develop cloud‑native, microservices‑based solutions on Kubernetes, Docker and cloud platforms, following DevOps best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• 3‑10 years of hands‑on Java application development experience, preferably in capital markets or regulated financial services.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Fluency in Cantonese, Mandarin and English.

Required skills

• Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, GaussDB, Linux scripting.
• Microservices architecture, cloud platforms (HCS preferred).
• Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker.
• DevOps tools: GitLab, Jira, Nexus, JUnit, SonarQube.
