Baggage Services Officer – Airport Customer Service

About the role

The Baggage Services Officer joins Cathay Pacific’s Hong Kong International Airport team to ensure a smooth baggage experience for arriving passengers. Acting as the first point of contact at the Baggage Inquiry Desk, you will resolve issues quickly, provide alternatives, and represent the airline’s commitment to service excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and assist arrival passengers at the baggage area.
• Answer inquiries and resolve baggage problems with minimal disruption.
• Trace missing bags, arrange delivery of lost or mishandled luggage, and offer alternative solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of baggage claims and follow up with passengers.
• Collaborate with airport and airline teams to improve baggage handling processes.

Required profile

• Legal right to work in Hong Kong and minimum age of 18.
• High school diploma or higher; fresh graduates are welcome.
• Strong spoken English and Cantonese; Putonghua is a plus.
• Flexibility to work shift schedules, including overnight, weekends and public holidays.
• Customer‑service orientation, good communication skills, and ability to pass a pre‑employment drug test.
