Business Generation Director, Greater China (North Asia)

About the role

Turner & Townsend, a global professional services company with over 22,000 people in more than 62 countries, is looking for a Business Generation Director for its Greater China (North Asia) area. The role is full-time and sits within the business generation function, supporting the company's work with clients in real estate, infrastructure, energy and natural resources.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a client-led culture, and lead sector and market leads to keep a realistic long-term pipeline of future work and targets.
• Monitor and coach teams on client engagement and positioning, including strategic approaches and routes to market, and obtain feedback on all significant lost opportunities.
• Identify long-term pursuits with senior leadership, build relationships with client contacts such as programme and project directors, and identify cross-selling opportunities.
• Maintain an on-brand sales toolkit with BG Ops and work with marketing on market events that support pursuits.
• Lead bid planning and enablement for major opportunities, including red reviews, win themes, partnering and storyboarding workshops, and oversee bid delivery across the sub-region.
• Research and analyse clients, targets and market trends, collate intelligence and combine financial analysis with industry knowledge to spot new revenue opportunities.
• Keep the pipeline accurate and transparent through regular reporting, lead internal forums on pipeline and bid best practice, and support global client enablement programmes.

Required profile

• Client-centric view and ability to turn opportunities into simple, actionable plans.
• Board-level operating level, able to interface with senior leadership at sector, country and operational levels.
• Ability to translate complex client and market requirements into pursuits and winning bids.
• Strong influencing, presentation, prioritisation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Sensitivity to multiple and diverse cultures, and strong people and line management capability.
• Fluency in spoken and written English and Chinese is strongly preferred.
