C++ Software Developer

About the role

Leading financial institutions and trading firms are looking for experienced C++ engineers to join their Electronic Trading, Market Access and Trading Technology teams. The role involves developing and supporting high‑performance, low‑latency systems that power market data, order routing and algorithmic trading across regional and global markets. You will work closely with trading, quantitative, product and engineering teams to deliver robust solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain C++ applications used in electronic trading environments.
• Build and enhance components for market connectivity, market data, execution, order routing and trading infrastructure.
• Design highly available, reliable and performance‑sensitive systems.
• Improve system latency, scalability, resilience and overall performance.
• Collaborate with business and technology teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Own the full development lifecycle: design, coding, testing, deployment, monitoring and production support.
• Contribute to code quality, automation, system architecture and engineering best practices.
• Participate in technical design and architecture discussions, and for senior candidates, mentor engineers and guide platform direction.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with strong hands‑on C++ development.
• Solid understanding of C/C++ fundamentals, data structures, algorithms and software engineering principles.
• Experience working in Linux environments.
• Strong knowledge of multithreading, concurrency and performance optimisation.
• Familiarity with network programming (TCP/IP, UDP, socket programming).
• Background in financial markets or trading technology is preferred.
• Mandarin language capability is a plus but not required.
• Ability to work with business stakeholders to understand trading requirements.
