Catering Assistant – Full‑time, Food & Dietetic Department

About the role

The Food & Dietetic Department of Hong Kong Adventist Hospital is seeking a motivated Catering Assistant to join its cafeteria team. This full‑time position supports both customer service and administrative functions, ensuring a smooth and welcoming dining experience for patients, staff, and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Provide courteous customer service to cafeteria patrons and hospital staff.
• Assist with daily administrative tasks, including filing and document handling.
• Maintain inventory of proprietary food products and office supplies.
• Answer telephone inquiries professionally, applying nutrition knowledge when appropriate.
• Keep the filing system well‑organized and up‑to‑date.
• Support quality and hygiene system reviews, such as ISO 22000 upgrades.

Required profile

• Higher diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Fluent spoken and written English and Cantonese.
• Nutrition knowledge preferred.
• Hotel or catering experience considered an advantage.
• Willingness to work AM (07:00‑16:00) and/or PM (11:30‑20:30) shifts, totaling 44 hours per week.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word (English and Chinese).
