Clinical Professor of Practice (multiple posts)

About the role

The University of Hong Kong invites distinguished medical scholars to join its Faculty of Medicine on a non‑tenure‑track basis as Clinical Professor of Practice, Clinical Associate Professor of Practice, or Clinical Assistant Professor of Practice. These fixed‑term appointments (three to four years) support the university’s expanding research, teaching, and clinical innovation programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Be assigned to relevant departments or units and lead high‑quality clinical activities.
• Foster academic collaboration within and beyond the university.
• Develop strategic directions for departmental growth and clinical service expansion.
• Teach medical students and support academic research initiatives.
• Contribute to knowledge exchange, basic‑science, translational, or clinical research projects.

Required profile

• Specialist registration with the Medical Council of Hong Kong (or eligibility for Hong Kong Academy of Medicine certification).
• International recognition for professional expertise.
• Demonstrated excellence in clinical services, teaching, knowledge exchange, and research.
• Preferably experience in university or healthcare administration and management.
