Community Relations & Development Manager

About the role

The Community Relations and Development Assistant Manager/Manager will lead the school’s engagement with its wider community, donors, alumni and corporate partners. This role is central to building a vibrant culture of philanthropy and enhancing the visibility of the German Swiss International School.

Key responsibilities

• Build and nurture relationships with stakeholders such as donors, consulates, chambers of commerce, cultural and social organisations.
• Represent the school at events to support student enrolment, corporate partnerships and fundraising.
• Conduct outreach to the business community to promote corporate philanthropy.
• Develop and implement a strategic framework for identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding individual donors.
• Maintain and grow the alumni network, organise reunions and ensure effective communication.
• Update alumni and donor sections on the school website and manage content.
• Oversee the CRM system to keep donor data current and produce analytical reports on contributions and campaigns.
• Collaborate with the Parents' Organisation for Community on joint initiatives.
• Plan and manage community events such as bazaars, galas, donor appreciation gatherings and alumni functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Advancement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, non‑profit management or a related field.
• 5–8 years of proven experience in community relations, development, fundraising or sales.
• Strong account management and relationship‑building abilities.
• Excellent written English; knowledge of German and Cantonese is a plus.
