Component Inspector – Electronics Hardware Testing

About the role

We are looking for a Component Inspector to join our team and ensure the quality and functionality of electronic hardware such as servers, network equipment, and computers. The role involves hands‑on testing, troubleshooting, and configuring products to meet customer specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Sort, repair, test and troubleshoot electronic hardware, including servers, network equipment, computers and spare parts.
• Configure products according to customer specifications and generate discrepancy reports.
• Provide technical support to customers and collaborate with Inventory, Production Control, Supply Chain and Sales to resolve technical issues.
• Address inventory specification issues and keep Supply Chain and Management updated.
• Assist Operations and other departments as needed.
• Maintain electrostatic discharge (ESD) controls and follow all quality, safety and environmental policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience assembling or testing IT hardware, preferably Dell or HP equipment.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, learn quickly and pay close attention to detail.
• Team‑oriented mindset and willingness to support cross‑functional teams.
• Physical ability to lift up to 35 lb.

Required skills

• Hands‑on hardware troubleshooting and assembly.
• Familiarity with Dell and HP server/computer hardware.
• Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Microsoft Access experience is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of SAP or SAP ByDesign is a plus.
• Understanding of ESD handling procedures.
