Corporate Sponsorship Development Manager

About the role

The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority is seeking a dynamic professional to lead corporate sponsorship development for the Hong Kong Palace Museum. This senior position will shape fundraising strategy, cultivate high‑value partnerships, and ensure compliance with museum donation policies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor policies and procedures for donations and sponsorships in line with HKPM guidelines.
• Collaborate with the Museum Director and Head of Development to set and achieve annual fundraising targets.
• Design and execute cultivation strategies for key corporate sponsors to support museum programmes.
• Identify, initiate and nurture new corporate sponsorship opportunities.
• Lead the creation of sponsorship proposals and related materials, ensuring brand consistency with marketing and digital teams.
• Maintain and deepen relationships with existing corporate sponsors.
• Manage budgets for sponsor events and development activities, ensuring cost‑effectiveness.
• Keep accurate sponsorship records in compliance with data‑privacy regulations.
• Oversee sponsor‑related events, delivering them on time and within budget.
• Coordinate closely with development teams across divisions for strategic alignment.

Required profile

• Recognised university degree in any discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of development or sponsorship experience, including at least 2 years in a management role.
• Proven track record of securing significant corporate funding, preferably in arts, wealth management or private banking sectors.
• Experience engaging large corporations and high‑profile individuals.
• Excellent presentation, negotiation and relationship‑building abilities.
• Fluent oral and written communication in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua).
