Counter Service Officer (Teller) – Retail Banking

About the role

The Counter Service Officer (Teller) will work on the branch floor handling daily financial transactions and providing frontline customer service. This role supports the bank’s growth by delivering accurate transaction processing and promoting banking products to existing and prospective clients.

Key responsibilities

• Process cash, cheque, and foreign currency transactions at the counter.
• Balance daily transaction records and ensure accuracy of cash holdings.
• Respond to customer inquiries, resolve issues, and cross‑sell banking products.
• Refer customers to appropriate specialists for complex needs.
• Assist with back‑office branch operations as required.

Required profile

• Secondary education or higher.
• Minimum of one year experience in retail banking or a similar customer‑facing financial role.
• Proactive, customer‑oriented attitude with a pleasant disposition.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Familiarity with counter service procedures and account opening documentation.
