Cyber Security Engineer – Asia

About the role

The Cyber Security Engineer (Asia) will support Cooley Technology’s security operations across the region, ensuring the firm’s systems and data remain protected. This role balances service‑orientation with technical expertise, working closely with the Incident Response team and technology projects.

Key responsibilities

• Review, analyze and monitor security system reports, logs and alerts for suspicious activity.
• Configure, maintain and administer firewalls, VPN, privileged access management, data loss prevention, endpoint detection and response, and SIEM solutions.
• Respond to incidents, alerts and help‑desk tickets as part of the Incident Response team.
• Participate in troubleshooting, vendor management and technology innovation projects.
• Conduct risk and security reviews of products and recommend appropriate controls.
• Monitor security metrics, system logs, Windows server logs and network monitoring tools.
• Provide forensic analysis and internal investigations under manager direction.
• Address audit findings and evaluate commercial security vendors.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in information security.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, iManage and firm applications after orientation.
• Ability to work extended or weekend hours and travel as required.
