Cybersecurity Manager (Bank)

About the role

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Manager to lead the security function for a banking institution. The role will oversee the design, implementation and operation of security controls across endpoints, networks, cloud environments and emerging technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the cybersecurity strategy aligned with banking regulatory requirements.
• Manage and tune operational security tools such as Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR/XDR) and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions.
• Provide security advisory services throughout project lifecycles and coordinate with cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Conduct vendor risk assessments and ensure compliance with frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls and HKMA guidelines.
• Lead initiatives on AI/GenAI security, AI governance, risk assessments and post‑quantum cryptography research.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, IT or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in cybersecurity or infrastructure security.
• Proven experience in the financial sector, including security governance and regulatory compliance.
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage cross‑functional relationships.
