Cybersecurity Specialist – Permanent

About the role

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist to join a well‑known organization in Hong Kong. The role focuses on implementing security policies, monitoring the Security Operations Centre (SOC), and strengthening the company’s network and system defenses.

Key responsibilities

• Operate within established security policies and standards, supporting their implementation and enforcement.
• Monitor and triage security alerts from the SOC, escalating incidents according to playbooks.
• Participate in incident response activities, including investigation, evidence collection, and post‑incident recommendations.
• Work with SIEM platforms to review detection rules, tune alerts, and create dashboards and reports.
• Support firewall, segmentation, and secure network configuration, and investigate suspicious network behavior.
• Assist in vulnerability management, security hardening, patch verification, and remediation tracking.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Higher Diploma in IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, CIS, or ISO 27001.
• Experience supporting SOC operations and incident response processes.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• SIEM concepts and workflows (search, correlation, dashboards).
• Network security principles and log analysis.
• Firewall and network segmentation configuration.
• Vulnerability management and security hardening.
• Knowledge of NIST, CIS, ISO 27001 frameworks.
