Design Engineer or Assistant Design Engineer – Foundation Projects

About the role

Kin Wing Engineering is looking for a proactive, self‑motivated Design Engineer to deliver high‑quality foundation designs. Candidates with less experience may join as an Assistant Design Engineer and receive mentorship. The role involves close collaboration with project and site teams to ensure design excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct structural and geotechnical designs for foundation, ELS and pile‑cap projects.
• Prepare design submissions for statutory bodies such as the Buildings Department and ArchSD.
• Coordinate with project and site teams, attend site visits, and resolve technical challenges.
• Support tender preparation and provide technical assistance throughout project life‑cycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural or Geotechnical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years of relevant design experience for the Design Engineer role; fresh graduates or less‑experienced candidates may apply for the Assistant position.
• Strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese).
• Proactive learning attitude, high sense of responsibility, and ability to work independently under pressure.

Required skills

• Structural design software: SAFE, SAP2000 (preferred).
• Geotechnical software: FREW, PLAXIS 2D, Slope/W, Seep/W (highly appreciated).
