DevOps Engineer (MongoDB & MySQL)

About the role

You will join the Database & System Support Team as a core member responsible for operating and enhancing mission‑critical enterprise databases and data platforms. The position offers exposure to large‑scale environments, modern database technologies, and DevOps‑driven automation, with growing involvement in AI‑powered operations and intelligent automation.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and optimise enterprise databases, focusing on MongoDB and MySQL.
• Implement automation using Ansible, Rundeck and related DevOps tools.
• Support additional data platforms such as Oracle Database, Milvus and GraphDB.
• Operate workloads on Kubernetes and manage GitOps workflows with ArgoCD.
• Troubleshoot database incidents, performance issues and service degradation, leveraging both traditional methods and AIOps tools.
• Perform capacity planning, performance tuning and platform optimisation.
• Implement and support Disaster Recovery environments and participate in DR drills.
• Evaluate new databases, AI‑related technologies and automation tools.
• Develop on AI orchestration frameworks, Agentic AI tools and LLM‑assisted operational platforms to improve reliability.

Required profile

• University degree in Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in IT operations or database administration, with hands‑on work on MongoDB and MySQL.
• Experience with Oracle Database, Milvus, GraphDB or other distributed data platforms is a plus.
• Familiarity with container‑based deployments, Kubernetes and ArgoCD.
• Experience in enterprise DevOps automation using Ansible, Rundeck or similar tools.
• Knowledge of Disaster Recovery design and operations is advantageous.
• Strong initiative, willingness to learn and adapt to open‑source and hybrid‑cloud solutions.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English; Cantonese and Mandarin are a plus.
