DevOps Engineer – Trading Technology

About the role

We are partnering with a global, technology‑led investment firm to add an experienced DevOps Engineer to a high‑performance engineering team in Hong Kong. This role goes beyond routine operations, focusing on building the platforms, pipelines, and tooling that power business‑critical trading systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and enhance CI/CD pipelines, release processes, and deployment tooling.
• Create self‑service platforms and developer tools that boost engineering productivity.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, upgrades, migrations, and deployments across hybrid on‑premise and cloud environments.
• Develop internal APIs, integrations, and monitoring/observability solutions.
• Collaborate closely with software engineers to streamline the journey from development to production.
• Help define engineering standards and best practices across multiple teams.

Required profile

• Strong Python and general scripting abilities.
• Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes and cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or OpenTofu.
• Deep understanding of Linux systems; Windows exposure is a plus.
• Experience building or operating mature CI/CD environments using Git and modern development workflows.
• Automation‑focused engineering mindset with a drive to eliminate repetitive operational tasks.
